2017 HILL CLIMB #1 – ALLY PALLY

A typically whippet-like performance saw Ed 'The Shred' Lamaison take victory on the Ally Pally course on 18.7.17. He just pipped Solomon into second place, with only 2 seconds separating the two top competitors. The margin between Donkin, Owen and Woodall was even slimmer – with 5th place Woodall just 1.5 seconds slower than 3rd place Donkin. Smith, who suffered  a cleat malfunction, notched 6th place, while Ford took home 14 points just for riding to the top of the course. So far, we've raised £67 for Lunsar Cycling Team. Donkin (pictured, right) won the first weekly raffle, netting himself a free subscription to Cyclist Magazine. Not bad for 1'20" of work!

In the cake comp, chocolate brownie ran away with the top spot, while lemon drizzle put in a strong showing to take second. A much-fancied carrot cake did not deliver on its early process, the long trip to north London in a Deliveroo box taking its toll.

STANDINGS AFTER WEEK #1

As you can see, it's all to play for, with Fordy hoovering up a mighty 14 points just for showing up.
